Answers:
If you do not eat breakfast because you can’t seem to find the time, try the following list of creative, quick-fix breakfasts that will provide enough energy to keep you going without causing weight gain:

*Yogurt. Add cereal for crunch.
*Banana. Eat a large one and wash it down with a glass of milk.
*Blender Drink. Whip together juice, fruit and yogurt or dried milk.
*Raisins and Peanuts. Pre-packed in small plastic bags, these are ready to get tucked in your pocket. Wash down with some juice.
*Bran muffin. Spread on some jam.
*Bagel. Spread it with low-fat cream cheese or peanut butter, drink with a can of V-8 or orange juice.
*Graham Crackers. Wash down with low-fat milk and a skimming of low fat peanut butter.
*Granola Bar. Dip it into some yogurt.

Breakfast Cereals:
Go for a low-calorie muesli (no added sugar or salt) or a high fibre cereal - such as Weetabix or Shredded Wheat with semi skimmed or skimmed milk. Add some fresh fruit - a sliced banana or dried apricots - to add natural sweetness and help you resist the sugar. (They also count towards your daily fruit and vegetable quota). Check out our Tried and Tasted Breakfast Cereals.

Fresh Fruit Salad:
Fresh fruit salad will provide a slow release of energy to get you through until lunchtime and also give you a healthy top up of vitamins and minerals. This healthy choice will motivate you to make healthy choices throughout the day. Peel and slice a few of your favourite fruits, top with a dollop of natural bio-yoghurt and enjoy with a slice of bread and honey. Alternatively, if you've got a blender, pop the peeled and cored fruit in with the yoghurt and teaspoon of honey and make a delicious fresh smoothie.

It is important for everyone to fuel their body with healthy food all throughout the day. If you are trying to lose weight and currently do not eat breakfast, start with adding this important meal into your day and cutting back on the amount you eat at evening meals. You may find your energy level going up and the excess weight coming down.

2 pieces of whole wheat toast w/ light butter & cinnamon.
a non fat yogurt, &orange juice. this would help try it.

You'd be better having a plain muesli with a selection of fresh fruits & skimmed milk. Drink hot water with a squirt of fresh lemon juice. This start will keep you system steady until lunchtime. Your choice of toast and yoghurt will not - in fact you are likely to begin to feel hungry mid morning.

Hi Brooke
Great to hear that you are trying to lose weight. All the best in your endeavor! However, I would like to point out that it would be better if you could avoid butter. How about adding some grated cucumber/cabbage and some salt and pepper to the yoghurt to make some sandwich spread. You can add cinnamon or oregano for extra flavor. It'll make for a yummy sandwich spread, besides adding the goodness of veggies to your breakfast. Vegetables are a good source of fibres, vitamins and minerals.

Breakfast means that - a break from the overnight fast. So the body is requiring nutrition and energy foods to keep it going for the day. A good breakfast that will do this is a variety of cereals high in quality carbohydrates to give you energy for the day. Add fresh fruit as these enhance the way the carbohydrates work for you. And use Soy milk instead of full cream milk. Losing weight is all about a lifestyle change. So you need to consider doing plenty of exercise for many years ahead. Don't forget rest, social activities and good food with a balance of exercise gives you a vital life and you will see a reduction of weight over time. The art is 'balance' and moderation in all things.

Yes, it's OK, I would substitute the BUTTER for SMART BALANCE Light BUTTERY SPREAD!!! It has many fewer calories, is healthy for your heart: non-hydrogenated like other spreads & made with OMEGA-3 OILS -- GOOD FOR HEART & ARTERIES!!!
Also, if you can switch to a low carb bread like: PEPERIDGE FARM CARB STYLE 7-GRAIN bread you'll save calories, help your heart with no cholesterol and no trans-fats and it's very good!!! If you dont happen to like it, then go with one of the other PEPPERIDGE FARM FRESH BREADS!!! This is a company started and run by a woman, back in the 1930s when women didn't have businesses!!!
Her son was ill, doctors had no answers, she decided his symptoms could be corrected by the best in Nutrician, so she started making her own special, healthy breads and he got not only well, but he THRIVED !!! Soon local doctors were ordering HER BREAD for THEIR PATIENTS !!!
Then her hubby was severely hurt on horseback ride, they had to sell everything they owned, except their farm, where to save her home/farm she went into HIGH-GEAR and made her rounds of NYC stores/shops with her bread and soon had so many orders that she had to convert her barn to a bakery !!! And today it's a huge company !!!
Look her up on the net !!! It's a GREAT story & the Breads are GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aunt Barbie

Instead of using butter, use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. A serving is 5 sprays and there's no calories or fat. Other than that, make sure the yogurt is not too high in calories. For me, I just eat a bowl of oatmeal for my breakfast since I'm also losing weight. It's only 140 calories and fat free. I've lost 30 pounds so far and want to lose at least another 20. Good luck!

Oh, I almost forgot.. someone mentioned OJ, but that is very high in calories. An 8 ounce glass has something like 140 calories and I usually would have drank a 16 ounce glass, so I stopped drinking it.
