Tinfoil- shiny side towards the food or shiny side out?!

Question:

Tinfoil- shiny side towards the food or shiny side out?

Cooking up some honey roast ham and need to kno which way round to put the tin foil!

Answers:
shiny side out

shiney side out

Shiny side out, but it does'nt really matter

hi shiny side out to reflect the heat!

Shinny side out to prevent burning from radiant heat

the dull flat side goes on/next to the food
and the bright shiny side faces up and away from the food
but im not sure if it really matters, wouldnt shiny silver foil
reflect heat away instead of into the food

ah

Wouldn't it be better shiny side in to cook better, isn't it heat what cooks it

All the above who said shiny side out are wrong, shiny side inwards, why? because it reflects the heat away from the food if outside and reflects back into the food if inward, honest. just speeds the process up if shiny side towards the food and slows down if outside

The shiney side should be on the outside

Mia has got it spot on.
