What kinds of drinks do people at bars order at different times of the day?!

Question:

What kinds of drinks do people at bars order at different times of the day?

Do people tend to order crazy hard to make drinks even when its busy at the bar or club?

Do they seem to get a sense of it being busy and order something quick and easy and save the complicated drinks for slower parts of the day or do they just order whatever they want 99% of the time?
CURIOUS: Do they order different drinks in the early part of the day vs. the night?

Answers:
People order what they want - they dont even think about what might be hard for the staff - ever.

It also depends what kind of bar it is. Often bars have their reguars that come in during the day and order the same thing- usually beer or sometimes spirits.

Lunch time the wine crowd comes in, the beer drinkers are usually still there, cocktails or shooters dont usually get ordered until later in the evening.

So it usually works out that people order the hardest most fussy drinks during the busiest service periods.

worked in many bars over the years

BLOODY MARY in the Morning! Beer or wine at mid-day & afternoon. And strong spirits or liqueors (sp? aka corgials) in the evenings!

I'm in Washington, DC and the martinis are big here, especially during the happy hours. Lunch hour tends to see beer drinkers. Another popular drink for anytime is the mojito, I am seeing more of this minty beverage. However, during the summer months people do switch over to the frozen margaritas, daiquiris, or pina coladas.

There really is no rhyme or reason. Most people don't care that there are other people at the bar and order what they want but with very specific instructions: I want a vodka collins, easy on the sour, 4 ice cubes, no 3 ice cubes, no HEAVY ice, one orange. one cherry, 3 limes...wait, you put too much sour in...)

Generally, but not all the time, people start with a beer, cocktail or frozen drink then move on to shots later on in the night.

I would be your perfect customer Beer from start till you throw me out for being drunk.
