Cheesecake:can you freeze it?!

Question:

Cheesecake:can you freeze it?

Answers:
yes,my wife worked in a bakery,,most all cakes are shipped to the store frozen,,and they can last 6 months to a year.

yes

well just yesterday i seen a cheesecake in my grans freezer....

yes as long as it hasn`t been frozen before, keeps for 6 months

You can buy frozen cheesecake, so I assume you can freeze home made ones.

yeah u can freeze cheeze kakes its even better

I've never tried too, I should have thought NO really, as most products you put in a fresh cheesecake say on the container do not freeze ie cream cheese and cream. The ones you get from the shop ready frozen have stabilizers put into them to stop them from separating when frozen. Anyway they wouldn't last long enough her to be frozen anyway because my family are greedy pigs!

yup, won't hurt a thing

Yes, but it may develop ice or frost, depending upon how "fluffy" it is. The denser the cheesecake is the better it will take to freezing. If if is lighter and has more air in it freezing will cause it to develop frost or get icy.

Yes. you can freeze cheesecake. In fact, when you buy a whole cake from Cheesecake Factory it is frozen first. Enjoy, cheesecake is yummy

Cheesecakes can be frozen. Careful wrapping is very important. To freeze, place a fully cooled cheesecake in the freezer, uncovered, for 1 hour. If it's in a springform pan, remove sides of pan and freeze with the pan bottom in place. After 1 hour, use a knife to separate the cheesecake from the pan bottom. Slide it onto a foil-wrapped piece of heavy cardboard. Wrap in plastic wrap, then carefully place it inside a large freezer bag or wrap it in heavy duty aluminum foil. Label and date. Freezing for more than a month is not recommended to retain the best quality.

yes u deffo can x

No idea, mine never last long enough to try...........

yup yup

It depends. Do you mean a baked cheesecake, like American style, that's been done in the oven? If so, yes. If on the other hand it's a set cheesecake that's got some kind of gelatine in it, then I'm afraid I think it's a no.

Freeze it without any topping on it. You'll save yourself a headache later.

Yes, but only if you haven't got an appetite!
