What is a spiral ham?!

Question:

What is a spiral ham?

as opposed to a non spiral ham?

Answers:
A spiral ham is one that was cut in thin slices prior to being packaged. With these all you have to do is cut the meat away from the bone. A regular ham is the same except it's not cut at all. The spiral ham makes for "prettier, more uniform" slices of ham. I only by spiral hams when they're on sale b/c they cost a bit more than the regular ones.

A spiral sliced ham is pre-cut into spiral slices where a regular ham is not usually cut.

Spiral refers to the fact the meat is already cut all the way through in a spiral around the bone. The ham is no different than any other it is simply pre-sliced for you.
