Why is all the food in the US junk, and if it is not junk, why...?!

Question:

Why is all the food in the US junk, and if it is not junk, why...?

Why dose it cost an arm and a leg.Have you ever shopped at Whole Foods Market.Good healthy food costs to much and I want to know what I can do about it for the masses?

Answers:
It is expensive if you shop at stores like that, just because:

A. For organics, you have to grow produce without chemicals or fertilizers, so it is harder to grow them.

B. For meat, they don't use hormones, which will make the animal grow larger, grow faster, or etc. So, an animal will take longer to grow, and to produce a lot of meat.

There are many other examples I could use, but do you get what I am saying?

For now, you can't affect the masses, but you cn help yourself. Grow some of your own veggies, or become vegetarian. There are a bunch of things you can do.

the cost of producing organically grown food is much higher. Because the usual stuff you purchase at a regular grocery store is mass produced at the lowest cost possible and sold at the highest price. It is more cost effective for companies to add chemical fillers to their products to get a similar taste of good food rather than buy the good ingredients.

Junk food is prevalent because of its ease of access. Healthy food typically takes more time, costs more as you have noted, and some people do not know how to prepare a healthy meal.

As for the masses, become a hacker and steal money to feed people. If you have a better solution, I would like to hear it.

I don't think everything is a junk food in the US. It is a matter of advertisment, consumption and immediate needs of the people there. Like they're always on the go and busy. Most of the people there prefer ready made's, packed products or even if no choice- easy to do meals.

If it is not junk why? Well, a food is not considered a junk if it is nutritious, fresh and packed with good nutrients.

It is the lifestyle and widespread adverts and fast food chain products in the US. Some people always associate American foods as fatty- though I am not generalizing. Perhaps because of its trademark like McDonald's, Burger King- well any fast food always contains much fat and sugars isn't?
