You'll never find a recipe more simple than this one. It's the one I use for all of my decorated christmas cookies, and is darn good plain too! I modified the ingrediant quantities below to suit your needs of about 10 cookies, but you can always make a full batch and freeze the extra dough, that way whenever you want a cookie you just slice off some dough and bake it. I do that with peanut butter cookies - great for a random craving!

2 TB butter (or margerine), softened
1 TB sugar
2/3 C. Flour
1/2 Tsp Vanilla

Beat ingrediants together and bake at 350* till edges are golden.

Enjoy!

EDIT: I just noticed you specified no vanilla (sorry I missed that!), you can sub. the vanilla in most recipes for something different, just be prepared for the flavor to change a little. Other extracts work just fine (almond, anise, etc...), but I've even used orange juice in place of the vanilla in the above recipe for orange sugar cookies! They were great!

wwell i don't know how to make them but i know a good cooking site

you will never find a decent recipe where you don't have to use bakind powder. It's an essential

what you can do is get a recipe and if it calls for a certain amount reduce it down to make it yield the amount of cookies that you want...this takes some math but im pretty sure you have access to a calculator

Another option would be to make a whole batch of cookie dough, bake only 10 of them, and freeze the rest of the dough. I would freeze the dough after it's already been divided into cookie-sized bites. Then whenever you want a sugar cookie, you can take just a couple out of the freezer and bake them up. There is no rule saying you have to use all of the dough at once. A lot of cookie doughs freeze really well.

If you don't want to do that, go to www.allrecipes.com and do a search for the recipe, and then once it's displayed you can scale it back, right on the web page.

Try this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sugar-cooki...

I changed the servings from 30 to 10 for you below. It has baking soda, but not baking powder.

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Shape into rolls; wrap roll in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm. Unwrap and cut into 1/4-in. slices. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-14 minutes or until set (do not brown). Remove to wire racks to cool.

I don't think you'll find a recipe for sugar cookies that does not have vanilla in it.

Good luck!

like Donnie suggested, www.allrecipes.com

It even has it's own servings calculator, so you can size it down to however many you want. Just watch out for recipes that call for 1 egg, splitting an egg in half is just not worth it. There was a great peanut butter cookie recipe I found on there, and I used the servings converter and sized it down to make just 6 cookies, and it still tastes amazing.

Sugar Cookies for One
Yield: 11 cookies (sorry)

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1/8 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
1/2 egg (scramble and measure 2 Tbs.)
1 1/8 cups flour

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Beat sugar and butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla, nutmeg and egg. Gradually stir in flour until well mixed.
2. Shape dough by teaspoonfuls into balls. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Press dough gently with bottom of lightly floured, flat-bottomed glass. Cookie should be about 1/4-inch thick.
3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are just golden brown. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely. Store in airtight container up to one week or until your done with your milk.
