Answers:
Poor old Peter Pan and its off-brand Great Value Peanut Butter were the ones contaminated. The code for those two started 2111. Haven't heard anything bad about Skippy or seen any alerts about it. They all are made in Georgia but at two separate plants, For the latest Food and Drug Administration withdrawals and alerts go to http://www.fda.gov/opacom/7alerts.html...

48 is the state code, you'll have to find the 48th state to join the Union... I think Arizona, or New Mexico.

0012 is the town code, so 12th town in the state, this should also be available.

7064 is based off the Julian calendar and identifies the date that the peanut-butter was made. Converting to the calendar you're familiar with, it would be Feb. 25, 2007.

So find the state and town, you have the date, and check if there was an e-coli break out from that area of the states.

go ahead

As far as I know the peanut butter that was under contamination was Peter Pan and Great Value (which is found in Walmart I believe), I have not heard of Skippy being a problem.
For more info read here:
http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/news/2007/...

I did a search on the FDA's site for Skippy and came up with nothing.

Hope I helped.

Peter Pan was the brand that had ecoli issues.
Skippy brand did not.
