Freezer burn on hamburger?!

Question:

Freezer burn on hamburger?

Can you eat freezer burn on hamburger? My husband says yes we can, I say No. Who right?

Answers:
I don't think it will cook right. It will have a tough texture. Thaw the meat and remove the freezer burnt portion. It shoul be a different gray like color when it thaws. Just take it off. The meat can't have bacteria because all bacteria is killed under 40 degrees and over 140 degrees.

u can just cook well it won't be there when cooked i mean if its really bad then maybe throwing out won't hurt but alittle won't really kill you and once cooked won't even notice it lol

It wont hurt you to eat it after you cook it however it may not taste that well.

Food that has freezer burn is safe to eat, but you may find the texture and taste not to your liking. Listed below are Web sites that provide freezing tips so that your frozen food will be in first-rate condition to serve to your friends and family.
