How long for prunes to relieve conpation. I have a hard rock in me. Help!!?
I think I have an impaction in my bowel. I have taken magnesium citrate,metimucil, stool softners. With some relief, but I still have the impaction and it hurts. I just age 5 prunes. How long before it works?

You could heat up prune juice in the microwave and drink it hot, like tea or coffee...You could do the old nurse's gloved finger trick to dig it out if it is near the rectum (if no heart condition) ...You could try fleets enema.If no relief, go to the ER...sometimes they have to operate in extreme cases..
Try cod liver oil.

First....you must see a doctor right away...this can be very serious.
Second, if that isn't possible, you might try an enema...made by a reputable company. You can find them at the drug store. However, if you can get to a drug store...you can get to a doctor or an emergency room.
