What should I pack for lunch at work??!

Question:

What should I pack for lunch at work??

In hopes of saving some money, I'd like to pack my lunch. But with out ranking up a huge bill at the grocery store what are some meal suggestions to help keep costs down but still have bet of variety each day so i don't get sick of eating the same old things.

Answers:
I pack my lunch everyday and usually stick with sandwiches, soups and NON Stinky foods. I avoid microwave food at all costs.

Sandwich - you can change your breads (whole grain, wheat, rye, pumpernickel, etc.), change your meats and cheeses and always use veggies (avocado is good too).

I like to spice things up with yogurt, fruit and soup. Be creative.

Even if you buy the "Top Shelf" dressings, bread, meat and cheese, you will still save a bundle. I don't cut it short and save, I figured it out to be, over $30.00 a week. This is based on the average lunch in Houston costing $9.00 / day and spending about $11.00/week on bread, cheese, meat and veggies from Central Market.

air.

Pack a healthy lunch, that way you'll stay lean while eating your meal and this doesn't have to break the budget for variety.

On your first day, pack some fruit or salads (an apple, banana, or salad (hold the ranch!)). The next day, you can try something different without much money, like a homemade sandwich, oatmeal, cereal, or homemade microwavable scrambled eggs. This can go on while you use your imagination to think of many different meals for the day.

Good luck, and eat healthy!

You can make some pasta or a huge thing of soup, and then reheat it in the morning and put it in a thermos to keep warm throughout the day. Thats what I do to save money and it works for me!
