Question:

How do you make peanut butter syrup? I mean the one they put on ice cream.?

I'm co-hosting an ice cream party for my friend's little boy. I'm kinda obsessed with peanut butter but could never find any PB syrup for ice cream in any store. Please help me.

Preferably no alcohol please.

Answers:
CHOCOLATE-PEANUT BUTTER SYRUP

1 (3 oz.) pkg. regular chocolate pudding mix
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter

Gradually add water to pudding mix in pan. Add syrup and salt. Cook, stirring until it boils. Remove from heat and add butter, peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until melted. Excellent on ice cream.

If you want just plain peanut butter syrup you can add corn syrup to peanut butter until you get the right cosistency.Sounds good to put over cake too.

Peanut butter topping for icecream

1 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup cream
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Microwave the first 3 ingredients for 1 1/2 minutes on high.
Add chocolate chips, if desired.
Serve warm over vanilla ice cream.
For a real treat use creamy hot fudge and peanut butter topping.
Garnish with whipped cream and cherry if desired

Just take some peanut butter and thin it with a bit of simple syrup until you reach the consistency you like.
