Pork ribs - how long are they good after the "sale by" date?!

Question:

Pork ribs - how long are they good after the "sale by" date?

I bought ribs 7 days ago - sale by date was 4 days ago.. what do you think? They still look pink and fresh.. so not sure?

The nose knows... those ribs are getting really marginal but if your refridgeration is good and cold, say 38 degrees or lower where the ribs have been, AND you detect
no off odors
no slimey surface
no iridescent patches
no dried up edges

I'd cook them...
