Question:

How do dices tomatoes turn out/cook in Quiche?

With Cheese, ham and onion.

Never tried it?

Answers:
Wonderful!!! We use tomatos in our Quiche every time. Make sure that you squeeze the juice out or your quiche will be runny. There is no need to alter your recipe any for tonatos and use fresh ones the canned ones have to much juice. You should also try a spinach, bacon, onion, and chicken quiche. It is amazing

Make sure you use a tomato that is very firm, other wise it turns very mushy.

Delicious the tomatoes will nice and sweet!

The tomato will cook up just fine in the egg mixture, fresh or canned diced, just like the onion does. If using canned, drain the liquid before tossing them in. If they're fresh and VERY juicy, cut out a bit of the milk from the recipe or let it cook a little longer.

Use canned tomatoes and drain the juice.

I think they would be ok. I would consider tossing in chopped bell pepper instead and then using the chopped fresh tomato as a topping for the cooked quiche.

I Love Quiche & here's a link with bunches of recipe ideas, (I'm going to have to go back and read through most of them!)

If you're using fresh tomatoes then only use the flesh and discard the seeds to reduce the amount of water. As an alternative consider using sun dried tomatoes for an intense tomato flavor without the risk of too much liquid.
