Answers:
Grandma's Shepherds Pie

INGREDIENTS:

* 1 pound ground beef, browned
* 1 or 2 cans corn, drained
* 5 or 6 potatoes, peeled, boiled, and mashed with milk and butter

PREPARATION:
Put the meat in the bottom of a casserole dish or Dutch oven. Add corn on top of meat. Add mashed potatoes on top, making sure the potatoes touch the sides of the dish all around. Bake 1 hour at 350.

I sometimes substitute a pound of the mild sausage that comes in a roll instead of the ground beef.

My husband likes it with creamed corn instead of plain corn.

EASY LASAGNA!!

1 lb. ground beef
3 1/2 c. (32 oz.) thick spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. (15 oz.) Ricotta cheese
3 c. (15 oz.) shredded Mozzarella
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 oz. lasagna, uncooked

Brown beef in 3-quart saucepan; drain off excess fat. Add sauce and water; simmer about 10 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients, except lasagna, for filling. Pour about 1 cup sauce on bottom of 9x13x2-inch baking pan.

Layer 3 pieces of uncooked lasagna over sauce; cover with about 1 1/2 cups sauce. Spread half of cheese filling over sauce. Repeat layers of lasagna, sauce and cheese filling. Top with layer of lasagna and remaining sauce. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Remove foil; bake about 10 minutes longer. Allow to stand 10 minutes before cutting.

Serve it with some rolls or bread, and a nice salad!

hot dogs and mac and cheese

one of my favorite things to make is cabbage rolls!

make a pot of brown rice
boil 1 head of savoy cabbage and remove the leaves (after it cools for a bit - it will be very hot). this should be about 10 minutes.

brown a little onion and garlic with a package of ground turkey. once cooked *** a package of low sodium powdered taco seasoning (follow the package instructions).

simmer for a little bit to let the excess water cook off

add brown rice to the pan and mix together with the turkey mixture.

grease a 9x9 pan... or large enough for however many rolls you want to make

place one leaf flat, spoon mixture into middle of leaf. Fold in two sides and roll like a burrito.

continue to do this until all leaves are used.

bake at 370 for 20-25 minutes

take out and top with fat free salsa, some avocado and a bit of cilantro!

soooo yummy ... easy and fun to make!

even my boyfriend 9who is a meat and potatoes guy) went back for thirds on this!

steak fries flour
