Italian food?!

Question:

Italian food?

We're doing a cultural exchange at my school, and I need to bring in Italian food. Theres about 20-25 kids in the class, What do you think I should bring?

Answers:
Making Lasagna, Chicken Alfredo, or any other pastas are all great but for 20-25 students that is a LOT of work. Realistically I would bring Bruschetta or Bread with Olive Oil. These two items are relatively mess free, inexpensive, and at the same time it is a LOT less labor intensive and still great Italian food.

Alfredo chicken!

tacos

Lasagna and a nice salad

Duh Spaghetti Easy simple dish Makes a lot too

Well the easiest italian food to bring is pizza or spaghetti... just have a really good essay or something to tell how it originated....

italian pizza, spaghetti, ravioli, fettechunni, sausage. look up recipes

Make a special type of dip or sauce, or make some sort of bread, or make the bread and serve with goat milk cheese. I've been to Italy, and they have plenty of goat milk cheese.

Easy Baked Ziti

Get yourself some jar sauce...Ragu will do...some 16oz ziti noodles...15oz ricotta cheese...and mozzarella.. Boil the noodles till al dente (to the tooth)..not mushy but not hard. Drain..put in a 13x9 baking dish. Pour in sauce and ricotta cheese...stir....grate the mozzarella cheese...I throw some in the mix as well as top the whole dish with the mozzarella and sprinkle with some parmesan cheese (kraft will do for easy)...bake for 30 mins on 350. That is an easy way to make some Baked Ziti and it will feed a crowd.

ravioli, and bread sticks ! some cheese and fruit would be nice too !

The key thing is to bring something that transports well and can be made in advance. Some of the best Italian dishes need to be served immediately. I would recommend a casserole dish like lasagne. Or a spaghetti dish. Spaghetti Bolognese is good. It's a meat sauce made with shredded beef in a tomato sauce. Brown some cubes of beef in oil, then simmer them for an hour in tomato sauce. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded beef to the sauce and cook some more. You can also add some cream to the sauce for extra richness.

Penne Arrabbiata, it's simple but a little more authentic

pasta! Maybe just red sauce over like linguni

Im 100% italin =]

You would need too much pasta for that many people, and at something like that you might want to do something smaller... like meatballs... here is my homemade recipe... SO DELICIOUS, and not too hard !!!

Here is a recipe that will make enough for everyone to have around 2-3 meatballs.

2.5 lb GROUND BEEF
2 EGGS
1/2 Cup Applesauce (for moisture)
1 Cup Bread Crumbs
1 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 Tablespoons Garlic Salt
2 teaspoons each of the following
pepper
basil
onion powder

Mix it all together and then put rounded tablespoon sized on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until done.

GOOD LUCK
