How do you make the best tasting Earl Grey Tea?!

Question:

How do you make the best tasting Earl Grey Tea?

I make Earl Grey tea from tea bags and take it straight. Are there any tips to make it taste better? Ex: Water, tea pot, steeping....

Answers:
i like my tea straight also. Here are some tips I've gathered. Use very cold spring water. The quality of the water is very important. This part requires some experimentation. Steep the tea in boiling water (It must be boiling!!!!!) for 4 minutes, then immediately take it out. Taste it, how is that?

Next, steep the tea in boiling water for 5 minutes, then take it out. Taste it, how is that?

next for 6 minutes. How's that? all batches are different, so you need to try different steep times to really find the best taste. good luck.

You'll never get the best Earl Grey from a tea bag. Buy some loose-leaf if you love it that much.

Ok, ok, so maybe you can't be bothered. Here's what to do with that teabag: To start, don't use water that's been sitting in your kettle all night. Use fresh water. Pre-warm your cup/pot with boiling water for a few seconds. Pour it out, put in your bag, and pour in more freshly boiling water. Steep 3-5 minutes, remove the bag. Serve with lemon wedges (don't use bottled lemon juice, it has no nice lemony aroma), sugar, or milk (or in your case, none!). I like mine with organic whole cream milk.

And that's as good as a teabag gets!
