Answers:
Here's my recipe:

3 eggs
1 tsp caster sugar
? tsp ground cinnamon

mix the eggs in a bowl with the sugar and cinnamon. Dip your bread in and coat - grill on a pan with butter.
Serve how you like - with crispy bacon and maple syrup is nice or my kids like it with ice cream and maple syrup!
Even honey is ok.

I use Nigella Lawson's Feast cookbook - you should try her chocolate pavlova with raspberries - so divine

All I do is beat a couple eggs add a little milk and if you like you can add the cinnamon. Dip the bread in the mixture and cook on a hot skillet.

When I make french toast I mix the eggs with a little milk, salt and pepper and soak the bread in the egg mixture (I have even soaked the bread overnight) in the refrig. then fry in a little oil and butter - serve with maple syrup and butter. Delicious

No pancake mix, just the milk and egg beaten together with a little cinnamon (I use about 1/2 cup milk, 2 eggs, and 1 tsp cinnamon)
Dip the bread, flip so both sides are coated and cook on a hot griddle. Butter and dust with a little powdered sugar if you want to make it fancier.
Strangely enough stale bread works best, holds its shape better as the milk/egg mixture does not sink in and make it soggy.

No on the pancake mix.

You want stale bread, a lot of time I use Texas Toast.

Crack some eggs in a bowl, add some milk, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, whip it all up. Have your frying pan (coated in butter) heating up, dip the bread quickly on both sides, but you don't want the bread to soak the mix up! Put in frying pan, cook on side, turn cook the other. I put more cinnamon on it while it's cooking.

I don't follow a recipe, depending on how much I'm making I just start cracking the eggs and add milk, if I need more mix, I make it. You seriously cannot screw up french toast. My only suggestion is to have your mix more eggy than milky. So add the milk a little at a time until it's where you want it.

All I do is beat 3 eggs dip a piece of loaf bread in it and then fry it in butter then poor syrup over it and enjoy

you don't need pancake mix. you need bread...the best bread for french toast is texas toast...I forgot the brand but it's extra-thick, it'll say Texas Toast. Grab a bowl put about 2 eggs with just a splash of milk, add sugar and cinnamon to your tasting. Dip your bread slice in your egg mixture and cook it in a pan on each side like you would a pancake. It's done when it's golden brown on each side. It's yummy! Glad to help!!

1 egg per 2 slices of bread. Beat the egg a little with a few tablespoons of milk and a drop of vanilla, add some sugar, cinnamon, & nutmeg. Dip the bread on both sides to coat. Put it in a preheated pan with a little butter. Cook until golden.

French Toast
* 4 eggs
* 1 teaspoon sugar, optional
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup milk
* 10 to 12 slices white bread
* butter
* maple syrup or other syrup

PREPARATION:
Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl or pie plate; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk.

Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter or margarine.

Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side. Soak/coat only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time.
