Can you store sushi rice balls in the fridge overnight?!

Question: Can you store sushi rice balls in the fridge overnight?
If no, where can they be stored? I want to make my lunch the night before because I don't have time in the mornings. I really want some rice balls, though.

Answers:

As long as your sushi does not have raw fish, yes you can keep them overnight in a very cool place. If you put them in the refrigerator overnight, the rice will get hard. My mom stores them atop the washer in the garage, which is very cool.

In Japan we store them on the kitchen table covered with a special net. I would never keep them in the fridge because it causes the rice to go hard and it doesn't taste very nice.

Actually, if you say 'just overnight' than possibly 'YES' but you will need to microwave it for a few seconds to make the rice soft again. BUT!........ if it contains raw fish, then the microwave might cook your fish when you reheat.. now THAT'S bad! ;-)
