Question:

Is there a way to make ice crem without half and half of cream?

Answers:
This is one I have - use 2 small boxes of Instant pudding mix - use l Lb. of powdered sugar and l large can of evaporated milk.Mix all that together and put in your 1 gallon freezer - then add regular milk to fill line on freezer. Make sure you mix well. It is really good. Hope you like it. Good Luck. +God Bless.

My family has been making a variation of ice cream without the cream or half and half for decades. Only instead of ice cream, they call it Ice Milk. It's more gritty and melts faster than ice cream, but when you want something cold, icy nad sweet, you'll get what you ask for.

My grandma passed away years ago, so I don't have the recipe. However, the following website has a recipe similar to what I remember having as a kid.

If you made it with milk, it would be ice milk. Without the dairy, it would be sorbet. So no, technically you can't
