Question: What movie is this, can someone tell me and help me out..?

I saw it in a trailer, and I am pretty sure its a fairly new movie, probably like 3 years ago. Its about a senator, who is homophobic and anti gay activist, and he doesnt know that his son is gay. In the trailer he is forcing hes son to do some speech or something. In school, everyone knows that his son is gay, and in the end of the trailer the senator was like I love straight and gay people or something, and the last word I remember he said is I love my gay son.
