Where can I buy Kim chee?!

Question:

Where can I buy Kim chee?

I live in Grand Rapids, not exactly a place known for diverse cuisine, but i want to buy kimchee, any help?

Answers:
Most Walmarts, by the egg roll wrappers and the tofu (usually in the vegetable section/organic produce)

in China

If there are any Asian markets in your area-you can look there and will probably find it. You're best bet is in a Korean market because Kim Chee is like the national food for Korea. I just love the stuff, can't get enough of it.

do you have a whole foods, wild oats or trader joes? those are good places to try

Um...what was ur question again?

Hey, pickled cabbage - I like it.
Look for your local Korean market or Asian food place.... or wait for your next trip to Detroit.

Should be able to get it in most Korean restaurants, or wherever they serve Korean food.

Did someone say Chinese, and did someone else say seaweed and tofu... HILARIOUS!!!

I LIVE IN KOREA... And Kimchee is definitely Korean. You can do it yourself with cucumber or cabbage and vinegar and red pepper... mix it up, let it sit in the fridge for a day or two... THERE YOU GO!!!

When I lived out in California, most major Supermarkets had it in jars in the refrigerated section, Dairy or Produce. I am in NYS now and haven't seen it but haven't looked. My suggestion is to look and ask the store manager to order it.

You'll proabably have to find an asian Market. They'll have it.
