It depends on the type of cookie. I like chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal cookies chewy. I prefer shortbread and sugar cookies crunchy. But they all taste better when made with butter instead of margarine.

i am currently in a quest for the best chocolate chip ever..and so far Mrs. Good Cookie is the best..it even tastes better then Mrs. Fields(in my opinion) it has just the right amount of chocolate chips and you can definitely taste the cookie's flavor.some cookies only taste good because of the chocolate.
anyway..i love the chewy kind,but not too soft..and has a little bit of crustiness on the top sides.yummy!
