Who cares? Listen now, just live life on the dangerous side and eat the dang cookie dough. You may get a tummy ache if you eat too much but a little Pepto Bismal will remedy that problem. So my advice is to throw caution to the wind, grab a bowl of cookie dough, and go hide somewhere to eat it, and for heaven's sake, no sharing!

You're not supposed to eat raw dough if contains eggs (they would be uncooked) due to salmonella risk, but I've never gotten it, and the chances are slim.
U aren't supposed to but WHO CARES!!!??? (cuz of the raw eggs)
cookie dough is ok cake batter only if there is no eggs in it why would you want to eat raw cake batter anyway?!?!!
I think it is fine to eat. I have eaten it since i was two and I am now 18. besides it tastes great. lol

Its not going to kill you by eating raw cookie dough, but you do get a stomach ache if you eat too much, and as for cake batter you really shouldn't since if there are eggs in it, it can make you sick. Although if you lick the spoon after your done mixing, that certainly isn't going to totally harm you!
It could make you sick eating the raw dough especially with raw eggs in it.

Honestly, I know that eating the cake batter in moderation is ok. Due to the raw eggs that you mix in it. However cookie dough and cake batter is the best thing in the world!!!!!!!!!
Cookie and cake dough is going to have egss in it. But, as long as they're pasteurized eggs, the chances of getting salmonella are pretty slim.
Getting sick from eating too MUCH cookie dough is something else altogether...
cookie dough and cake batter are only bad for you when the eggs are there. What i find as a wonderful solution is if you have a coldstone creamery close to you they have birthday cake ice cream it is just like the real thing. and they have so many varieties of cookdough ice cream, candy, and snacks.

It's not highly recommended due to the egg content...a little bit won't hurt you now and again...
eggs are pasteurized now so as long as they are stored and the eggs are at the proper temp, the food risk is less...
