Question:

How to prepare homemade yorgurt?

Anyone know how to do it? anyone ever heard those bacteria which is from Tibet? A legend:- A Holland student went to Tibet for a research was diagnosed with lung cancer. A monk in Tibet prepare the yogurt for the student and was recovered. The student asking for the bacteria and took back to Holland. Anyone have any idea? I would like to find out more info about it.
Friends have been taken it for months and known it will cause colon cancer. We need to find out is this true.

1 quart 2-percent milk
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 to 2 tablepoons honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt, room temperature

Pour milk into small saucepan and whisk in powdered milk and honey. Place over medium heat and bring to 120 degrees F on an instant read thermometer. Once milk has reached 120 degrees F, pour into a cylindrical plastic container, reserving 1/2 cup. Whisk in the reserved 1/2 cup into the yogurt and add back to the milk mixture.
Place container into a narrow wine bucket, lined with a heating pad. Set the heating pad to medium. Let the mixture ferment for 3 to 12 hours making sure the temperature stays as close to 115 degrees F as possible.

After fermentation is complete place into the refrigerator overnight.

Homemade Frozen Strawberry Yogurt:

Prep Time : 20min
Cook Time : 5min

You could use this recipe and vary the kind of fruit and flavor of yogurt you use and never serve the same frozen yogurt the rest of the summer!
INGREDIENTS:

* 2 cups chopped fresh strawberries
* 2/3 cup sugar
* 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
* 1 (8 ounce) container strawberry yogurt
* 1/2 cup buttermilk
* 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

PREPARATION:
Place strawberries in medium freezer proof bowl and sprinkle sugar over. Let stand for 15 minutes, then drain off juice and place juice in small saucepan. Add unflavored gelatin to juice and let stand for 2 minutes. Plce saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until gelatin is dissolved and mixture is smooth. Pour juice mixture over strawberries in bowl and add yogurt, buttermilk, and lemon juice. Mix well, then cover and freeze for 2 hours.

Remove mixture from freezer and beat on medium speed until smooth. Cover bowl and return to freezer. Freeze yogurt for 6 hours. Remove from freezer 15-20 minutes before serving.
