Is there a difference between sweet basil and regular when cooking?!

Question:

Is there a difference between sweet basil and regular when cooking?

Answers:
Sweet basil is only so-called to distinguish it from Thai/Holy basil which has quite a different taste. Unless the recipe is SE asian then 'sweet basil' and 'basil' are the same thing.

It is one in the same.If using dried basil you can add it anytime during cooking process. If using fresh add at the end of cooking time.I grow a pot of basil outside in summer than bring it in for the winter.I graze off of it all winter.I Adore the stuff :)
