Can vinegar be used along with mayonaisse and fresh cream while making pasta??!

Question:

Can vinegar be used along with mayonaisse and fresh cream while making pasta??

Answers:
!!!!!!!

I'm Italian: pasta with mayonaise or vinegar doesn't exist and it will be awful.

Don't use them!

I don't see why not as mayo has vinegar in it already.

Are you asking if you can substitute vinegar and cream for mayo in a pasta salad?
I think the vinegar will separate or curdle the cream?

Yes you can use vinegar with mayo and fresh cream. Another thought is use miracle whip if you want that tartness that the vinegar provides.

As for the comment below about italian pasta with mayo and vinegar. Those product both exist in Italy and with many Americans living there, I am sure they know about it.
