Vegetarians?!

Question:

Vegetarians?

What are some sites on information on the pros about becommming a vegetarian?

Answers:
www.goveg.com. watch the videos under the meet the animals section. especially the cow one. watch those and you'll never even think about eating meat again.

try www.vegsoc.org

they have some great info and booklets. All non-judgemental, factual and very useful

"person" above says " I am a Person, you'll probably want to be my friend. " in thier profile.....a tad optimistic, don't you think ?

Ignore "clara" below, you dont "need" meat in your diet. What ? did i die 27 years ago or something ? Or maybe I'm a minor miracle ? How can you possible say you "need" meat.

All you need is a balance of fruit, vegetables, nuts, pulses, dairy, cereals....i've been veggie for 27 years, never ill, no supplements and own an arable farm so am used to hard manual work as well as having a decent brain.

"al_sparagus" below points to sites paid for by the meat industry, the veggie soc isn't paid by anyone. Who do YOU think is likely to be biased ? He even says "so you don't get blindsided by the propaganda and lies. "...how blind is that, even thinking that the meat industry is going to be unbiased....thanks for the laugh.

dont do it, its not healthy. u need meat in your diet. there was this one girl in my school who was in the hospital fer a while cuz she was a vegterian. eat everything. dnt worrie bout saving the earth er losing weight. er w/e, ur one person, and there so many millions of people in the world. just be healthy.

We might suck @ Person but we might also be healthier in the long run lol.

Well if you are going to check out the benefits of becoming a vegetarian, also check out the benefits of eating meat so you don't get blindsided by the propaganda and lies.

http://www.beef.org/
http://www.theotherwhitemeat.com/...
http://www.eatchicken.com/
http://www.seafood.com/

http://www.mtd.com/tasty/

and just for good measure.....

http://lobels.com/

Hey just trying to be fair and balanced guys, you wouldn't want to trick someone into becoming a veggie would you?

I become more conscious of what I ate and It made me realize I can't abuse my body with junk. If you do your research and read up on being vegetarian you should find yourself feeling healthier. Meat eater tend to be more unhealthy although make sure your getting enough iron. You should see your Doctor if you begin to feel tired or unwell.

I found this useful site on getting all the right nutrients on a vegetarian diet.

Good luck

www.vegsource.com it is all about vegetarians and vegans.

www.vegcooking.com it has vegetarian and vegan recipes

There are many studies showing the health benifits of a vegetarian diet. As Im sure you already now visiting beef.org is definatly going to give you a bias view on meat consumption. Would be similar to going to nra.org to ask for unbias view on gun safety. lol.

When looking for info besure you know what the source is gaining from the info, especially on the internet. Try these sources:

http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.j...
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/eto/conten...

There are many articles if you look, I tried to find the articles online but they were not available. I have access to journal articles from various sources through a program, but the articles are copy righted and not on the net.
