Hunting was the reason I became a vegetarian. When I was a kid I would go hunting with my Dad (because hanging out with your dad is cool AND he would give my sips of brandy from his flask.) One time I had a good clear shot of a deer and I couldn't do it. After that I figured that if you can't kill it you shouldn't eat it. My Dad still hunts and I still don't eat meat. I support him and he supports me. It's been years.
Yes, I've a good buddy that hunts mushrooms in Alba (Italy). he goes through the woods with a wicker basket and his "shroon" dog hunting for the big ones.

We own a vegetarian B&B and see a couple of 1,000 veggies a year go through our place. never met one that hunts or fishes.

Yes! Veggies/vegans always have to go on a hunt for appropriate food.
