I did an experiment with coke and I used staple a paper clip and a nail. and I set it in the coke bottle for 5 days and the staple disintegrated and the paper clip rusted and the nail rusted.
I did the same with Pepsi and only the staple rusted on the tips.
just imagine what is happening to your insides that are not metal based.
