Why are there nutrition facts on water labels?!

Question:

Why are there nutrition facts on water labels?

it just makes no sense because everything is 0%

Answers:
They are there because they are required to be there by law. Some bottled waters have different levels of ‘solids’ in them and can something other than zeros.

because it is the law for everything that is packaged

federal requirement

to tell you the nutritional facts.
just because there are none doesn't mean they ain't there

Because laws mandate it.

the FDA requires all food in the us to have a label no matter what

the law requires it besides..there are alot of water products out there that do have added flavors and so on so I would want it to make sure what is inside the bottle

yeah, but water we drink is not strictly H20. It contains trace minerals that we need to survive. Most water even contains very low levels of many bacteria, harmless to humans and actually beneficial. Think along the lines of bacteria in yougurt or cheese.
And yes, even your expensive waters have it. Some such as that sold by Aquafina has added minerals. Gives a better taste and is good for you.

The Food and Drug Administration makes all manufacturers list the nutrition information on any product they make more than 50,000 units of per year of. They could probably make a separate rule for water, but now there's "sports water" so it would probably confuse things even more.

its just the law.
