just need boneless skinless chicken breast and some chili sauce, put it in the oven on 300 for 3 hours and its usually pretty good, have some rice with it. =)

Ahh I hated school food when I lived in my dorm...but we didnt have a kitchen, so all I had was a microwave and some ramen and other microwavable crap! lol

Anyways, buy some hamburger patties and buns...um boxes of mac n cheese are always good and cheap too. Cans of soup; spagehtti is really easy to make too--just boil the noodles then drain the water out and put in a jar of sauce.

Here's some pages that might help too:

Bon apetit....lol

The staples of my college days-

Pasta is rather cheap. Just boil up the noodles, you can make a bunch at a time and save the leftovers, then top with a cheap tomato sauce. About three days worth of food costs about three dollars.

Chili and you make a bunch at a time. Just buy a mix of dry beans, soak over night then drain. Add water to almost cover, and chili seasoning and a can of chopped tomato (juice and all) then simmer the whole thing for about an hour or more. The long it cooks the better it tastes. Again, three days of food and the cost is around three dollars. If you have the money you can add some cooked ground beef, corn, onions, and green peppers to the mix too.

Ramen noodles are cheap too. At about ten cents a pack, you can’t go wrong.

Oatmeal, rice, frozen veggies, tuna, and soup are also easy on the budget.

Tostadas!!!!! All you have to buy is a can of Pintos Beans, lettuce(reuse in sandwiches), tomato(use for sandwiches), cheese(make nachos, quesadillas etc.) and shells(flat or taco-broken in half).

heat the shells in the oven
warm the beans in a pan and after about 15 minutes smash them
layer the beans, lettuce, tomatos and cheese onton of the warm shells.

Any left over beans you have you can make burritos with for lunch or dinner the next time.

Total cost is like 5 bucks.

anything with ramen noodles

I can make very nutritious meals really cheaply. If you are a meat eater and like things like cottage pie try substituting half of the meat for soya mince, you won't notice the difference.Try fish pie topped with mashed potato using a canned fish of you choice. There are so many cheap recipes that I can't even start to list them here. Use imagination and just think of the flavours you like. I have very little money but can make a good meal for under one pound uk. don't forget the vegetables are very important and they are not very expensive.
