no that sounds gross to me

yea i do it all the time...add some banana and you have an elvis!!

Elvis Presley's Grilled Peanut Butter
and Banana Sandwich
2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
1 small ripe banana mashed
2 tablespoons butter
Spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and the mashed banana on the other. Press the slices gently together. Melt the butter (or to be truly Elvis-like, melt bacon fat!), over low heat in a small frying pan. Place the sandwich in the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides. Eat it with a glass of buttermilk.
Please note: Elvis tended to eat 12-15 sandwiches a sitting

Yes... Is is my favorite!

OMG that is so gross!!!!!!

What an intresting idea! Thanks for the dinner idea for tomorrow!

Peanut butter and banana samwich RULES.

(not grilled though...Cold!)

I have, it's awesome...go one step further and make yourself some stuffed french toast...make the sammy, dip in French Toast mixture and fry it up...mm, mmmm, good!

yes. Yum. Grilled PB&J is also good; best with strawberry jam, I think. Ok for you PB freaks out there. My favorite is PB on pancakes (or waffles/french toast) with Butterworths maple syrup. My kids thought it was gross until they tried it. Now... it is standard fare.

i've made them for obsessed customers who demanded i try them. not bad. without jelly is better. i don't go out of my way to make them for myself however.

I had never tried it before but was curious since I had heard about the Elvis connection. So when I saw your question just now, and the recipe kindly posted by another answerer, I thought, I'm hungry, hey, now's the time. So I just made one... fried... with banana. Oh my goodness. It's got this kind of melty salty sweetness to it that's completely indescribable. So to anyone who's a bit grossed out by the thought... try it first. You might be surprised.

No clue how Elvis could have eaten 12-15 at a sitting though. Just one feels like it will keep me full for hours.

Thanks for the idea!

Yes but I put tomatoes on mine instead of jelly. I have tried it with grape jam but no other flavors.

no

Try peanut butter and bacon on toast. Doesn't sound good, but it is!
