Raw/vegans?!

Question:

Raw/vegans?

To all those who are raw/vegans-I need some knowledge on how to conquer cooked foods. I can eat raw generally for a week then fall off the wagon. How do stop cooked cravings please help?

Answers:
try an 80/20 plan. Eat 80% raw, 20% cooked. This helped me, and I have followed it for years. I look forward to my hot meal of the day. Some days now though, I dont even want anything cooked. It should get easier for you over time. I simply feel better when I eat mostly raw.

Why would you force yourself to do something like that? Here is an article about parents who were just sentenced to life for killing their baby with veganism. They tried to raise it on a vegan diet, which is unnatural and unable to adequately support human life. They were convicted of two counts of murder, manslaughter, and cruelty to children. They were morons.

There is a great new book out by Victoria Boutenko called...12 Steps to Raw Foods: How to end your dependency on cooked foods.

One of the major points is that raw vegans generally need to increase the amount of leafy greens in their diet as they are a major source of protein and calcium. She recommends green smoothies of 1/2 fruit 1/2 greens with water and honey or dates if you need it sweeter. I've been drinking them and find them totally refreshing. The idea is that blending the greens pulverizes the cell wall allowing the nutrients to become easily assimilated into your system. Happy raw fooding!!!

Big help is adding Green Smoothies. They really fill you up & take away the cravings. Some say you have to have a fancy blender, not true any decent 1 will work. I hope this is will help you as it has me.
