What is the best healthy way to season green beans?

Assuming you're using fresh and not canned, right? Steam fresh whole beans seasoned with a couple spritzes of Worcestershire sauce and bits of garlic. What's neat about this method is leftover cold 'uns are super in a green salad. Do NOT overcook. My favorite UNhealthy beans are simmered 'n stewed forever with a chunk of fatback or hamhock and plenty of liquid...sop up with johnnycake and you'd be able to re-fight Second Manassas.
light or fat free italian dressing... works ESPECIALLY well on french style.
yummy!!
Saute' in butter substitute and a little bit of Garlic Salt.
There's this bottled dressing called "Very Very Teriyaki" that I absolutely love. I use it to marinate things like chicken and ribs, but it's wonderful poured over steamed green beans as well. It has a tangy flavor and lots of sesame seeds in it. It's totally simple and really impresses peoplel when you serve it to them!
My grandmother makes her greenbeans with Velveeta, a little evaporated milk, and a can of Rotel. You'd question it; but yum! If you're wanting healthy, fresh onion, garlic, and canned tomato work well.
I assume you're looking for an alternative to salt. Why not try one of the chili-lime or chili-lemon seasoning powders that have become very popular in recent years?
After steaming green beans I like to use a drizzle of olive oil & fresh squeezed lemon, or a sprinkling of lemon pepper. I also sometimes lightly saute them (after steaming) in a drop of oilve oil with some garlic.

a little salt, vinegar and mustard.
Man, none of you folks must be from The South.
Put a ham hock in those green beans baby and cook 'em slow. If you don't know what a ham hock is, ask the butcher at your grocer. I don't know if it's healthy or not but it sure is GOOOOD!!!!
Yum! Yum!
I'm with Curtis. In the South, we slice up pieces of bacon and a palmful of sweet onions to add to the pot. A ham hock is tasty, too. Add some garlic salt and fresh black pepper.
