How many pounds would 6 chicken breasts give you?!

Question:

How many pounds would 6 chicken breasts give you?

Answers:
I would say that depends if it is boneless breasts, or the bone-in kind. It also depends on if you are cutting up the chickens yourself, as fryers and roaster chicken are diff sizes. If it is packaged boneless breasts they can come from different chickens and could each weigh a different amount.

My guess would be that boneless are about 3-4 ozs each.

2-3

Depends on the size of the chicken.

It would depend on how big the chicken breasts are...

depends on the size of the breasts. (the chickens)

Between two and three pounds(weight before cooking)

About 3.5 lbs... I just checked a bag in my freezer.

6 bone in chicken breasts are about 3 to 3 1/2 pounds (based on an average weight of 8 to 10 ounces). 6 boneless skinless chicken breast are 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 pounds (based on average weight of 4 to 6 ounces). However, I recently puchased some b/s breasts that weighed 8 ounces each. 6 breasts feeds 4 to 6 people, depending on the type of breast & how hungry your guests are.

Depends on whether they are bone in or not.

An average bone in chicken breast is 6-8 oz.
An average boneless chicken breast is 4 oz.

So, if they are bone in:
6 breasts x 6 oz. = 36 oz. which is 2.25 lbs.,
6 breasts x 8 oz. = 48 oz. which is 3 lbs.

Boneless:
6 breasts x 4 oz. = 24 oz. which is 1.5 lbs.

Anyway, hope I helped some.

it depends on the chicken breats is it single or doulble and the thiinkness of the breast i get 4 or 5 to a kg and i think and pound is about half of that
