A long time ago I was visiting my grandma's relatives and some guy was frying up brain. It looked just like eggs. I didn't eat any but I couldn't eat eggs for month's. I was so grossed out.

When I was a chef, I cooked them a number of times, and when on a bus trip to Florida we went through Indiana and stopped a roadside restaurant that sold a sandwich made with a breaded cutlet form brains, on a toasted roll and a few pickles.
A few months ago Alton Brown on the Food Channel did a spot on the same place, on his Road Trip shows, they have no real taste like a pork or veal cutlet a bit soft and mushy, not for everyone.

Yes, my grandmother used to make fried pig brains. it does look eggs. It taste like ****. It was considered a great honor to be given the brains in my grandmothers time.( at least thats what she said) if you research further, you will find out that eating big brains started in the depression.
