Coat Some Garlic Cloves in Olive oil... Salt and Pepper To Taste... Roast them til golden Brown and Soft In the Oven...

When You finish the potatoes Throw in the Garlic with a couple pads of butter and Mash it into the potatoes... A little Parmesean Cheese In there would be nice as well...

Instant Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes... Also I like To spread them into a caserole dish and put them in a 350 degree oven untill they brown up a little bit on top... Makes for a nice side...

Not really understanding what you need. You have instant potatoes and want to know what to do with them? So, obviously making potatoes is out?
Since you're having mac and cheese you already have a starch, why do you need the potatoes?

Add butter, parm ch, garlic powder and some cream and of course salt and pepper to taste.

Add butter and maybe a little garlic powder to spice them up a bit. Plan potatoes are good tho. If your steaks dont hane any sauce make some brown gravy.

Brown some onions in oil until carmalized (about 15 minutes). Mix into potatoes, together with some chopped fresh parsley. If you have time, you can make patties out of the potatoes, dip into egg wash the bread crumbs & brown in butter.

Personally, with the mac and cheese you already have a starch. so what about a leafy green salad loaded with veggies? But here is a potato casserole anyway

A shortcut potato casserole, made with instant potatoes.
4 cups instant mashed potatoes (Potato Buds)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups hot water
1 cups milk
6 tablespoons butter
1 3/4 cups sour cream
6 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons butter
paprika

Stir potatoes, water, milk, 6 tablespoons of butter, and salt in large microwaveable bowl until moistened. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave for 6 to 7 min. on High until bubbly. Blend with electric mixer until smooth.

Add sour cream and softened cream cheese. Mix until again smooth. Turn into greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Dot with remaining butter and sprinkle with paprika. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Very good put together in the casserole dish a day in advance and baked just before serving. Serves 8 to 10.

Add anything to them: corn, roasted garlic, parmesan cheese, black pepper, red pepper, gravy (of course); make them, then put them in small oven-safe bowls, sprinkle some of that stuff on top of them, and bake them so they have a nice crispy top.

Also, make them w/ half and half or real butter so they're REALLY good and yummy (as much as instant potatoes can be, anyway!) Good luck!

Add sour cream and butter along with any kind of cheese you have available to your instant spuds.(cheddar is best) Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle some paprika and parsley on top when they are finished.

I agree, ditch the instant potatoes, grab a bag of frozen mixed vegetables and some dill chip dip, microwave the veg with an inch or two of water for 6-8 mins, drain stir in dip, yummy, may need to re-mic to melt dip more.

mashed potatoes, baked potatoes...fried taters, or just potato chunks

Roasted garlic is the best addition. Sour cream, believe it or not is good too. My Nonni used to put an egg in her potatoes, it cooks because the potatoes are hot and makes them fluffy! Yum :) Good Luck!

Make the taters real thick.add garlic salt pepper and any other spices you like. Then in a good deep fryin pan add about 1half inch of oil. Fry the spuds till they are golden brown on both sides

Bon Appetite

garlic and cheese

Boil some potatoes in microwave. Mash it add some green chillies and clentro( sorry if misspelled) ...salt and cover with bread crumb, now make pettis and put some oil in the pan and shallow fry it...I just love it with katchup anytime :)
