What to do with stale cookies?
I have some oatmeal cookies that have gone stale. They're still OK, but don't taste very appealing. I also have some stale choc chip cookies. Can you make anything out of them? They're too good to throw away.
Answers:
Absolutely agree with the answer about making them into pie crusts! Crumble, add melted butter, etc. Oatmeal cookie crust is fabulous for a cheesecake.
Or use crumbled cookies mixed with melted butter as a topping for fruit crumble. Just put your cut-up fruit and some sugar in a pie dish and top with the crumbles, sprinkle with cinnamon, bake for 20 minutes or so and eat with cream or ice cream.
throw them at the fat kids.
Chuck em!!
You can crumble them over ice cream or you can toast them in the oven and make them taste better.
ice cream or yogurt topping
crumble them and throw them out for the birds.
If they are stale, then they are no good. Feed them to the ducks or squirrels at a local park.
You could try dunking them in coffee.
Try this! Put the cookies in a tupperware container with a slice or two (depending on how many cookies there are) of plain white bread. The cookies will absorb the moisture from the bread.
crumble them up and put them on Ice cream or something. or just eat as is. A way to keep cookies from going stale is to put them in the freezer. if u only take them out when you want one (or 2 or 3 or 4 or...lol) just let them defrost a little bit and they will be as good as new.
Whirl them in the blender until you have fine crumbs.
Use them for pie crusts for no-bake type (refrigerator) pies or for a crust for bar cookies, as below.
Mix the crumbs with melted butter, press into a 8"x8" pan, bake at 400 for 10 minutes, then put layers on top, such as melted chocolate or peanut butter chips, pie filling, etc, then cool and cut into bars.
Feed them to birds and squirrels. :-)
Layer them with pudding or ice cream. You might even be able to crush them in a food processor and use as a substitute for graham crackers - like a crust for a cheese cake. You could crisp them back up by heating in a low oven - 250 degrees for about 10 minutes or so.
Who has stale cookies around? I never do!
Sprinkle them over ice cream, or make them into a pie crust!

Give them to the birds.
I would warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds. Maybe splash a few drips of water on them and microwave for 5 seconds or so. They may taste just fine after that. If not, I would use them crumbled as a topping for ice cream or a pie.
put the cookies in a sandwich bag, crush by rolling a rolling pin over the bag. mix cookie crumbs with melted butter, and push into the bottom of a tin. use as the base for a refrigerated cheesecake,or pour a dessert mix in there and leave to set in fridge
put them in the oven for a few minutes.
I crunch mine up into ice cream....
