Question:

I saw light beer in spain that was light on alcochol content?

i noticed american beers dont tell you percnet pervolume of alcohol in beers. thsi is crazy. in spain, lights beers are light on alcohol. how do you know this is not true in america too?

Answers: Hello my dear in britain they always put the vol on there beer bottles, and i would of thought that would be the case everywhere, but it seems not,if you are that concerned about it telephone the makers and ask them what beers are low in alchaol content,i'm sure they will tell you,i have done it many a time for differant products,it only takes a phone call, give it a try. Yes actually they do disclose % of alcohol on the can - as it is required by law. DIfferent jurisdictions allow different max alcohol content. beer in america says its alcohol content. under the label on the front near the bottom of the label it says 4% or whatever it is. its usually 4-5%. but light beer in America has less calories not less alcohol. They don't tell you the alcohol content? Just as well I don't drink beer. Remember seeing a content on Rolling Rock, Jeungling (?spelling) and Iron City when in Pittsburgh

My sons drink beer, and In NZ Light Beer is a low alcohol content - not a low-cal drink.
