maybe i should stop being a loser Well you probably should specify exactly what kind of food you'll be getting take-out... Or else people won't know whether you mean Italian, Mexican, etc. I'm sure like, Polish people specify Polish food just to avoid confusion. It's just easier I guess. Like if I'm with an Italian and they say they want to order "food", I'd be like, "what kind of food?" just because him being Italian wouldn't be the first thing coming to mind. I don't typically think of nationality first unless that's what we're talking about at the time.

Good question though lol. Ha ha. You make a good point. But, hey, the other half of you may have the craving, you know!!

But, all seriousness aside, now, the Italians still have to specify, "Ay, you wanna soma good Italiano food?" All us Navajo can say is, "Hey, pass the chips!" I just call it 'grub'.
