I know how to cook this food my self it is so hard to get the spices and ingredients this side of the country . Well, if you're looking for things like pasteles, alcapurrias or empanadillas, they can be shipped anywhere, no problem. They come frozen & you just have to fry them. If you give me until tomorrow, I'll find out where my fam gets them from. But if you want like cooked dishes such as picadillo, arroz con gondules or or pollo gizado, I don't know of anyone getting that delivered & honestly, I would advise against it. As for getting the ingredients & spices needed to cook this stuff at home, I would think there must be a specialty store somewhere in your area. Some of the dishes, like picadillo, don't need anything out of the ordinary. Goya.com & Badia.com will both ship you the spices you need for most dishes. Stock up on things like Sazon (from Goya) or Sazon Completa (from Badia), cumin, garlic powder, oregano & bijol (basically, it's tumeric & it's just used for color, like making yellow rice). As far as herbs go, cilantro is the most important. You can go online & find tons of recipes but I find that they stink. If you'd like, I can give you detailed, step-by-step recipes that I use. Hope this helps & leave your question open so I can send the numbers for those restaurants. It might be better to try to cook your own But, You can always check for pre made items from Goya. I personally would be weary of anyone who wants to ship me food via mail. If packed in dry ice it should be ok..........they ship steaks and stuff....so I imagine if it was cooked properly and cooled then packed with dry ice it could work. But why don't you see if someone local can prepare it for you? your best bet is to make it yourself..look for puerto rican food recipes online
