How do you make Korean spare ribs ?!

Question:

How do you make Korean spare ribs ?

I had a friend from S. Korea years back whos mom was an awesome cook.Whenever his mom knew I was coming over to stay the night she would almost always make my favorite dish Korean spare ribs. The beef was so tender and sliced thin and it literally melted in your mouth. All I remember is that she used some onions and Soy Sauce but the rest was a secret.I know also that she marinated them overnite and then cooked them on a hibachi the next day for maybe 2 minutes each piece which was approx 3 inch strips that were roughly 1/4 inch thick and 1 inch wide.If anyone knows the Authentic recipe I would appreciate some feed back.

Answers:

Kalbi (what the local korean's here call it)

INGREDIENTS
2 lbs. thin sliced short ribs

Marinade (soak at least 24 hrs):
1 cup shoyu Shoyu/soy sauce
1 cup Sesame Seed Oil
1cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon green onions
1 tablespoon garlic
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

secret to making it soft- one hour before cooking, grate 1/4th of a kiwi in the marinade, it has an amazing tenderizing effect
