is a fruit, with all the thorn outside the shell, the meat is yellow colour, only can find at Asia, we call king of the fruit, strong smell, i know western don't like, they will run as far as they can.

I like durian! We have a local store here that sells a "durian-flavored ice-cream" with pieces of real durian in it! Yum!
P.S. strange durian trivia: almost every year several people DIE when a durian cut from the tree falls on their head! What a way to go!
