Storing baklava?!

Question:

Storing baklava?

What's the best way to store baklava for a couple weeks to a month? Can I freeze it? Refigerate it? Thanks.

Answers:

It is recommended that baklava be stored at room temperature in an air tight container. They should last for weeks in relatively fair condition. You'll notice that the baklava will become more chewy/juicy as time goes on. Eventually, they'll begin to dry out which is generally an indication that their nearing shelf-life.

You may choose to refrigerate your baklava. This will make them hard and chewy but will extend the shelf-life.

Finally, freezing is another alternative. Cover well with foil and store in a freezer bag or plastic storage. Simply set at room temperature until the baklava thaws fully and serve.
