Do Asians really use chicken in Chinese food restaraunts?

I am Caucasian. I love chicken. So I know how chicken taste. But when I ordered from the Chinese resaraunt the chicken tasted funny. I ordered two different dinners various times.( Sweet and Sour Chicken/General Tau Sao Chicken, Beef Stir Fry) Can you please come clean and reveal what do you use as chicken/beef. Please tell me so that I wont have to be be nervous about eating your food at buffets!!!!!!!!!!!

It IS chicken, it's just prepared differently. Chinese restaurants in America and most other developed nations are subjected to the same health inspections that any other restaurant is, so using misrepresented or substandard meat would be pretty hard to hide. Not to mention, cat and dog meat tends to be more expensive than chicken or beef per pound (though this isn't universal), so generally there would be no benefit to using those meats and labeling them as something else. Dog, in fact, is a delicacy that is advertised proudly in some restaurants.
