I don't know what you cooking, but most of Brasilian recipes are made with kale or collard greens, we have some that is called couve de mineira: thin sliced kale/collard greens, saute in a pan garlic , bacon, onions until gold add the kale, mix cook until the kale have a bright color, just a few minutes, +-3/4 minutes, we have a portuguesese soup also with kale, and a lot more, I'm brasilian by the way
