Was this an insult?!
Was this an insult?
I went to a Korean restaurant the other night and ordered my usual (it's a hot stone bowl of rice and veggies with a spicy sauce that goes on top) when I finished eating the waitress came up to me and said "You know how to eat right!"
It didn't seem to appear catty...? Yet I don't understand...? Was she insinutating I ate a lot, even though it's one portion and less than they usually serve in other restaurants? Or did I do something write with the traditional way to eat the food?

**Of course I gave her a good tip, I go there frequently and LOVE the food...
I didn't get defensive, I was just asking on here.... I actually COMPLIMENTED her food after she said it

I was eating Bi bim bop (bap, bob) and I did not dip it in the sauce (I wouldn't even know how to do that...) I know how to mix it in... don't assume I did it wrong

Probably she complimented your taste and if you finished your food with no leftovers, you also showed your appreciation to the quality and work that went into its preparation, not to mention good manners. In countries where there has been food shortage, the very worst you can do is to leave meals not eaten or partially eaten.
