Why as we get older do we like our food hotter and spicier wheras before?

when we were kids we liked sweet is it because we have caned out taste buds.?


Answers:

It is known that there are five taste sensations:

Sweet, Bitter, and Umami (now sometimes called Savory), which work with a signal through a G-protein coupled receptor.
Salty and Sour, which work with ion channels.
