Is there a difference between those 2 croatian cakes "povitica" et "potica"?!

Question:

Is there a difference between those 2 croatian cakes "povitica" et "potica"?

or is it only a question of spelling ?

Answers:

The recipes and time to make each are quite different.

Povitica may be sweet or salty - using flour, water, eggs, oil, apple vinegar - dough
filling is usually a cheese to be bakes such as ricotta, eggs and use either salt or sugar

Potica takes quite some time to make. It uses yeasat, sugar, water, flour, milk, butter and either rum or butter flavoring - it is filled with a ground up mixture or nuts - usually walnuts, raisons, honey and egg whites.

You can probably find the recipes on your search engine for each or Foodnetwork or something like that, but I do know they ARE different from each other.
